The challenge

Elderly daycare is an underserved sector. Most facilities run on paper and memory, with staff carrying the load of tracking everything by hand and little room for error. There was almost no software built for how these centers actually work, and even less built with the well-being of seniors and carers in mind. So the first job was not to design screens. It was to understand the sector.

Discovery first

We ran a discovery session before any design began. We spoke with the people who run and work in these facilities, mapped their day, found the points where work piled up and things slipped, and learned what software needed to do, and just as important, where it needed to stay out of the way. That research shaped every decision that followed. We were designing for a real day, not an assumed one.

What we delivered

• Discovery: user conversations, pain-point mapping, and a clear problem definition for a sector with little prior research
• Branding: a warm, trustworthy identity that fits a care setting, not a cold enterprise tool
• Web app: the operational core, with scheduling, staff coordination, resident management, and daily tracking, all designed to reduce the manual load on carers

How we approached it

Care first, not features first. Every screen had one test: does it lower the daily burden on staff? If a feature did not give time back to the people doing the caring, it did not earn a place.
